The school also organized an “International Show-off” wherein participants from different grades had to show the traditional clothing from what particular country they picked. Days before the show-off, students have dedicated time to plan out their chosen participant’s clothes or how to style them generally. The most awaited show-off was held on November 9, 2022, at the school’s covered court with Mr. Peter Paul R. Peruda, Mr. Arold E. Bodo, and Mrs. Lovely P. De Rial as the judges. The contestants were able to show off their stunning costumes while walking the middle aisle with the audience parted side by side. Cheers rang loudly by their classmates as they proudly represented their assigned country.
Certificates of Recognition and Participation were given to students who won and participated in the competitions before announcing the pageant winners. With the help of Sister Kathleen Laran OSF, awards were given to the perspective winners and participants. Then, quickly followed by the declaration of winners of the “International Show-off.” There we have South Korea represented by 7- Knowledge having the “Best in Pair” award and Mexico from 10 Wisdom-A with the “Best in Costume” award. We also have The Philippines from 12 HUMMS coming in fourth place, Russia from grade 12 ABM-HE at third place, the second placer is from 8 Wisdom-A representing Japan, and the first place holder is 12 STEM A with the traditional clothing from South Africa. And finally, our titleholder of the International Show-off is from 10 Wisdom-A representatives, Chloe Reciproco and Aile Caballes, representing Mexico.
In this month of appreciation for the culture of other countries, let us all be respectful to other races and build peace around the world.
